Jenny Marlowe, Miss New Mexico 2007, is a graduate of the University of New Mexico. She graduated Cum Laude in 2007 while majoring in Musical Theatre. In 2006, Jenny had the opportunity to study Shakespeare and theatre in London and therefore took the opportunity to live overseas for 6 weeks.
As Miss New Mexico, Jenny has traveled the state discussing her platform titled, "Learn To Be Powerful Against Physical and Sexual Assault" to youth and adults. As another outlet to help others, she has been a volunteer at the University of New Mexico Children's Hospital. She has volunteered twice a week at the Carrie Tingley Intensive Care Unit and works to help the children keep good spirits during their stay at the hospital. Most of the time, however, they make her laugh with their wit and humor!
Her desire to help others doesn't stop at the Hospital. Jenny has also been a volunteer for the Agora Crisis Center. Agora is a center that takes phone calls and walk-ins to help those in need of a good listener. The hours spent working the phone lines, promoting her platform, and helping at the Children's Hospital has undoubtedly prepared her for the job of Miss America.
